Peter Gorman is a public relations veteran who offers clients deep experience in agency and corporate side communications for both B2B and B2C businesses. He founded Black Rocket Consulting in 2013 with a mission to help emerging tech startups successfully increase their brand awareness in a cost-efficient manner.

 

In addition to being an impeccable writer, who can quickly distill technical jargon into interesting and digestible messages, he has a proven reputation for creating highly successful, integrated communication campaigns that generate quality media coverage; expand market awareness; engage customers and partners, and drive lead generation.

 

Prior to founding Black Rocket Consulting, Peter led global corporate communications for OpenText Corporation, where he helped establish the company as the leader in Enterprise Information Management (EIM) solutions. He has also led corporate communications at StreamServe, Inc. (acquired by OpenText), Coveo and Fast Search & Transfer (acquired by Microsoft). Peter has also held management positions at several of the best known technology-based PR firms in New England.

 

Earlier in his career, Peter held Assignment Editor roles at WLVI-TV 56, New England Cable News (NECN), NBC Radio Network News, and News 12 Long Island, where he won an Emmy Award for coverage of the crash of Avianca Airlines Flight 52.
